The troupe has attracted cast members from around the globe, each contributing unique talents to this cultural melting pot of performance art. The prevailing 'try anything' spirit among the troupe in its early workshops allowed an innovative art form to emerge, with a genuinely fresh script and originality in its theatrical style. The first large-scale performance was in San Diego for an exclusive invitation-only audience of four hundred people on March 31, 1996. There was a sense of raw and unnerving energy in the room that night that was calmed only by the crowd's enthusiastic applause, which made it clear to the members of the troupe that they were on the verge of something truly wonderful.
