The Fondazione Nazionale della Danza develops its producing activity under the name Aterballetto. It offers some of the most significant dance projects both regionally and nationally making it unique in Italy.
It is the principal producing and touring Dance Company in Italy. Founded in 1979 it has gained wide recognition on the international scene, under the direction of Amedeo Amodio and then to the notable international choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti. Aterballetto supports the exploration that begins from a ‘disciplined’ body, with a strong ballet technique to discover the potentials of movement and dynamics and make them an expression of contemporary reality by means of the original vision of choreographers who interpret today’s reality through their imagination, taste, experiences and human vision. It is unique and original experience for the choreographer and the performers that reaches the audiences.
